Quick Fix on Galaxy S4 that Freezes without a Warning
One of the most annoying problem that android users were always complaining is the freezing issue. In dealing with this problem there are number of reasons to consider why this is happening on your phone. Sometimes, due to some corrupted files and data in the system different types of software-related issues will occur without apparent reason. On the other hand, if the device has physical defect, then, that would be a reason also that your phone freezes.

So, in this post, I'll discuss the same issue to help those Galaxy S4 users that had been bugged down by this issue. You need to perform the tricks that we often provided to other users that has similar problem. Don't you worry, these procedures are safe and won't ruin or damage your phone. That being said, here are the methods that you should do:

Step 1: Restart your phone
This is a very basic procedure and its very effective it refreshes the core services of your phone and closes all running applications in the background. After you do the method, try to see if the issue still occur. If it is, remove the battery of the phone and press the Power button for 10 seconds to free all hardware components from stored electricity.However, if your phone still freezes after the method, then, you can proceed to the next method.

Step 2: Delete the System Cache Partition
By doing this procedure, we will try to reset the cache directory of the phone. Meaning, all old files  and data stored in the cache partition will be deleted so that newer ones will be created. Although there is no assurance that the issue will be resolved after the method but there were reports saying that after they performed the method their phone suddenly function normally. Here's how:

1. Turn off your Galaxy S4.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up,Home and Power buttons at the same time.
3. Release the Power button when the phone vibrates but continue holding the Home and Volume Up buttons.
4. When the Android System Recovery screen appears, release both the Home and Volume Up buttons.
5. Using the Volume Down button, highlight "wipe cache partition."
6. Press the Power button to select the option.
7. The phone will automatically restart once the cache and data are wiped out.

However, if the device still crashing after resetting the cache partition, then, move over to the next step.

Step 3: Perform a Reset

Remember, this method should be the last last resort that you can do if all procedures won't work on your phone. But before you can follow we suggest you to create first a backup because all your saved files and data in the internal storage will deleted. So, if this is just a software-related issue, then, this will surely fix it. Here's how you can do the method:

1. Turn off your Galaxy S4.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons simultaneously.
3. Release the Power button when the phone vibrates, but continue to press and hold the Volume Up and Home buttons.
4. When the Android System Recovery screen appears,release the Volume Up and Home buttons.
5. Using the Volume Down button, highlight "wipe data/ factory reset."
6. Press the Power button to select the option.
7. Using the Volume Down button again, highlight "delete all user data".
8. Press the Power button to select it.
9. Once the reset is complete,choose "Reboot system now."
10. Press the Power button to restart the phone.
