Quick fix on Samsung Galaxy S5 that won't turn on after overnight of charging
One of the most common problem that android users were complaining about is the power-related issue. In this type of problem, there are tons of factors to consider that might causing the issue. It could be the battery is faulty, a culprit, defective set of charging and it might be a system crash. So, this time, all we need to do is figure it out all possibilities that might causing until we can create a solution on the issue and get rid of it.

However, if your phone has been dropped or has physical damage, then, there's no point of performing these steps, instead, bring it to the shop for your phone might have hardware issue.

Here are the methods that you should do:

Step 1: Buy a new Set of charger
We all know that if the charger is defective, then obviously the device won't charge and the battery remains empty and won't turn on no matter what would you do. In this instance, we have to eliminate that suspicion by using a brand new set of charger and make sure that you connected it to a working outlet once you do the step. After a few hours, power on your device and see if it is capable of doing it, if so, then, a defective battery is causing it and there's nothing to do with your phone.

However, if your phone still unable to turn on, let it charge for another a few hours to see what will happen. When the time elapse, attempt to power on your device and see if still unable to power on. If not, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Boot your Galaxy S5 in Recovery Mode
While it is connected to the charger, we suggest you to boot your Galaxy S5 in recovery mode. This step will power up all hardware components on your phone, so, if your phone does not have hardware issue, then, your Galaxy will boot up normally in this mode. Here's how:

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the following three buttons at the same time: Volume Up, Home and Power buttons.
  3. When the phone vibrates, release the Power key but continue to press and hold the Home and Volume Up buttons.
  4. When the Android System Recovery screen appears, release the Volume Up and Home buttons.
  5. Press the Volume Down button to highlight 'wipe cache partition'
  6. Press the Power button to select it.
  7. When the wipe cache partition is complete, 'Reboot System Now' is highlighted.
  8. Press the Power key to restart the device.
However, if booting in recovery mode is not helping and the issue persists, then, we suggest you to bring your S5 to the nearest shop in your area for further troubleshooting on your phone.
