Quick fix on Samsung Galaxy S5 "Process system isn't responding" error

The "Process system isn't responding" error is rampant not just in Samsung but to all variants of android devices available in the market today. Once this error message appears on your phone screen, it means that the system is crashing and there are tons of factors to consider that might causing this issue. It could be due to bad update or the system files and data had been corrupted that could no longer be loaded to the firmware and triggered the error message to  show up on the screen.

So, in this post, I'll discuss the same issue and consider all possibilities that might caused the error message to show up until we can fix the stop this issue on your phone. These are the steps that you need to perform:

Step 1: Perform the Battery-pull procedure
In dealing with this type of problem we have to eliminate the suspicion that a minor glitch in the system caused problem. So, what we have to do now is to perform the so-called battery pull procedure or some users called it as the "Soft reset." This will refresh the memory of the phone and close all apps running in the background, so, if a system glitch is the reason and caused the issue, then, this method is very effective. Remove the battery from the device and press the Power key for 10 seconds to discharge all electricity stored in the hardware components.

After you do so, turn on your phone and see if the error message will still appear. If so, proceed to the next method.

Step 2: Unmount the SD card from your Galaxy S5
If performing soft reset is not helping the issue the next thing that we want you to do is to verify if your SD card is corrupted or not. If it is, try using another SD card and see if the error message will still show up. If won't, then obviously a defective SD card caused it. However, if the SD card is fine and the issue still happening, then try the next method.

Step 3: Perform factory reset
If nothing seems working in those 1st and 2nd method that you performed on your phone, then all you need to do is perform a reset. This will bring your phone back to its original form by deleting all saved files data saved in the internal storage. So, before you follow the step be sure that you create a backup or transfer all your files to your SD card or personal computer so that you can restore all of it if if the problem is fixed. Here's how you do the reset:

  1. Power down the Galaxy S5.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons together until you see the Android on screen.
  3. Use Volume Down to highlight the 'wipe data/ factory reset option and press the Power button to select it.
  4. Use Volume Down again to highlight ' Yes- delete all user data and press the Power button to select it.
  5. Use the Power button to select Reboot system now.
  6. When the S5 restarts it should be completely wiped and ready to set up again.
However, after you do the reset and the error message still pops-up, then the last option that you should do is to seek assistance from the expert and to be sure what really the issue is.
