Quick fix on Samsung Galaxy Note 4 battery drains fasts issue

Battery drain issue is not new in Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and there are number of factors needs to consider why the battery is draining fast. As a matter of fact, we received hundreds of emails coming from our readers complaining that their battery is functioning abnormally. So in this post, we have to verify all possibilities that might triggered this issue and consider all factors so that we can determine what makes your battery to drain faster.

This is how to troubleshoot battery-drain issue

Step 1: Check if the battery is swollen
In dealing with this type of issue, it is imperative that you should check if the battery is defective and caused the issue on your phone. Remove the battery from your device and lay it on the table or in any flat surface and try to flick it. If it spins freely, then, your battery is swollen and it needs to be replaced because it is already defective.

However, if the battery didn't spin after you flicked, there is a chance that the apps running in the system caused the problem, proceed to the next method.

Step 2: Close some apps running in the system
More often than not, if you have tons of heavy apps running in the system simultaneously that would be the reason that your battery is draining fast. So, this time, all you need to do is to check it and close some of it and observe if the problem still persist after you do so. Here's how:

  1. From Home screen, tap Recent apps button.
  2. To switch between apps, scroll to and tap Desired app.
  3. To close an app, tap X icon on the desired app.
  4. To close all apps, tap Close all icon.
After closing some of the apps, use again your phone and see if the issue still persist. If so, then try the next method.

Step 3: Reset your Galaxy Note 4
Since, closing some apps is not helping the issue, so, the last thing that you should do is to do a reset your phone. The good thing about doing this method is, if your phone is experiencing a serious firmware issue, there is a big chance that it will be fixed. But before you do the reset we recommend you to transfer all your personal files to your SD card or personal computer because it will be deleted. This is how you reset your phone:
  1. Turn off the Galaxy Note 4 completely.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home keys together, then press and hold the Power key.
  3. When the Note 4 vibrates, release both the Home and and Power keys but continue to press and hold the Volume Up key.
  4. When the Android System Recovery screen appears, release the Volume Up key.
  5. Using the Volume Down key, highlight 'wipe data/ factory reset.'and press the Power key to select it.
  6. Now, highlight 'Yes -delete all user data' using the Volume Down key and press the Power key to select it.
  7. When the master reset is complete, highlight 'Reboot system now' and hit the Power key.
  8. The Note 4 will restart but it will be longer than usual. When it reaches the Home screen, then begin your setup.
I hope this helps
