Samsung Galaxy S5: Enable / Use Interaction Control Mode

With Interaction control in Samsung Galaxy S5, you can restrict your phone's reaction to inputs while using apps. In order to use this mode, you would need to activate or enable it first on your device. When enabled, you then can set limit to other phone users on the access and control of your data or media.


Basically, Interaction Control will help you customize the way you interact with your phone apps and settings, block or unblock areas of the screen from touch interaction/response, and likewise, disables Auto rotate screen and hard key functions on your device.



A. How to enable Interaction Control in the Galaxy S5


1. Tap on Apps from the Home screen.

2. Tap on Settings.

3. Scroll UP to Personalisation section in the next screen.

4. Tap on Accessibility.

5. Scroll to and tap Dexterity and interaction.

6. Under Dexterity and interaction screen, scroll to and tap Interaction control.

7. Drag the slider right to turn Interaction control ON or enable it.

Interaction control is now enabled and ready for use on your device.

B. How to use Interaction Control in the Galaxy S5


1. Press and hold the Home button and the Volume button down simultaneously while using any app.

2. In the next screen, adjust the size of the frame. You can also draw a line around the area you want to restrict.

3. Tap on Done.

4. You should then see the Restricted area you've recently set. This means that when you tap on the screen or press buttons like Home button, they won't work.

5. If you want to deactivate interaction control mode, just press and hold the Home button and the Volume button down simultaneously, then drag the slider to turn the feature OFF.
