Samsung Galaxy Tab S Basics: How to enable/disable/connect to Wi-Fi

This guide is intended for those need help in setting up Wi-Fi network on the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S.

The Galaxy Tab S integrates a wireless connectivity feature that allows users to connect to other Wi-Fi enabled devices to share information or to connect to and use the Internet.

Follow these steps to help you get through the entire process of enabling, disabling and connecting to an active Wi-Fi network.

1. Go to the Home screen to get started.

2. Swipe your finger from the top to bottom of the screen to open the Notification Panel.

3. Once the Notification panel is open, you will see a list of several icons. Touch the Wi-Fi icon to turn Wi-Fi on or off the device.

Hint:

An indication that Wi-Fi is turned on or enabled is when the icon turns to green. It has to be in this state if you will use Wi-Fi on your device.

4. After you enabled Wi-Fi, allow your device to scan for available Wi-Fi networks in range, then touch to select the network you want to connect to. Then skip to step 6.

Hint:

In case you don't see your Wi-Fi network in the list, touch Add Wi-Fi Network to add and set up your own Wi-Fi network. Just follow the on-screen prompts and enter in your network information to complete the entire Wi-Fi setup.

5. If you are trying to access a secure wireless network, enter the correct password to connect to that network. Otherwise, simply touch Connect to directly connect to the network.

6. Touch Connect.

You should now be connected to the Wireless network you've selected. You may start navigating to a website or webpage to test your connection.
