  • Pen attach/detach sound - An option used to select a sound to be played whenever the pen is attached or detached from the tablet. 

Motions and Palm Motion features

With the Motions feature, you can control your tablet using natural hand movements, like putting the tablet to your ear to call a displayed contact. Here's how to access Motion settings on your Galaxy Note 10.1.

1. Touch Apps from the Home screen.
2. Touch Settings.
3. Touch Controls tab.
4. Touch Motions.
5. Touch the ON/OFF switch to enable these features:
  • Zoom - When viewing a picture in Gallery, you can tilt the tablet to zoom in or out.

  • Mute/pause - this lets you mute incoming calls and pause playback by covering the screen with your hand. 

Using the Smart Screen

Your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet has many special features, including Smart Screen. Such smart features are used to enhance or optimize viewing on your tablet's display. Follow these steps to enable Smart Screen feature on your tablet.

1. Touch Apps from the Home screen.
2. Touch Settings.
3. Touch Controls tab.
4. Select Smart screen. There are four smart screen features you can select from, including the following:
  • Smart Stay - this option is used to keep the screen on as long as you are looking at it.
  • Smart Rotation - this option is used to rotate the screen based on the orientation of your face.
  • Smart Pause - this option is used to pause video when you are facing away from the display.
  • Smart Scroll - this option is used to scroll up or down. In order to get this done, tilt your head or tablet while looking at the screen. To enable Smart Scroll, touch the ON/OFF switch, and then touch Smart Scroll for options.
