Pay Online Purchases with your Samsung Galaxy S5

With the Fingerprint Recognition Technology fused into the new Samsung Galaxy S5, paying for item purchases is now made a lot easier.
Samsung's new Galaxy S5 smartphone is truly promising a lot of essential functions to its every user, including the fingerprint recognition technology incorporated into the device. Aside from unlocking the handset, the fingerprint recognition technology also allows S5 owners to pay for their item purchases via PayPal.

In order to use this feature, you would need to have it setup first on your device. Here’s how to set up fingerprint recognition on your Galaxy S5:

1. Tap on the Apps icon (square-grid-like-icon) on the Home screen.

2. Tap on Settings to continue.

3. Go to the Quick Settings section and tap to select Finger Scanner.

4. Tap on Fingerprint Manager. Doing so will prompt you with a disclaimer.

5. Read the disclaimer content and then tap OK to continue.

6. Swipe your finger across the Home button. This area is where the fingerprint reader is placed. You may also refer to the onscreen animation to learn more of how it’s done.

Hint:
It would take more than one swipe of your finger until your fingerprint details are saved.

7. As alternative to using the fingerprint scanner, you can also set a password to unlock the screen. Just type-in your preferred password and then tap Continue.

Hint:
You may also be asked to re-enter and verify password. Just do as it says and then tap on Continue again.

8. Your fingerprint should now be saved. This means, you may now set your fingerprint and use it as the method to unlock the screen. Tap on OK, if you want to use this setup and proceed to step 9. Otherwise, tap on Cancel to exit the setup.

9. Tap to select Fingerprint as your unlock method.

10. In order to use fingerprint-actuated payment, you would need to link your PayPal account to your Galaxy S5. To do this, tap on Pay with PayPal and follow the on-screen instructions to sign in to your PayPal account.

Important Notes:

To see if you have successfully setup the fingerprint recognition technology to unlock your Galaxy S5, press the Power button located on the side of the phone. It should unlock the screen. To light the screen, press the Home button. To unlock the phone, swipe your finger across the fingerprint reader.
