Enable/Disable JavaScript on Samsung Galaxy S5 Internet/Chrome browsers [How to]

JavaScript is commonly used in many different web pages and site widgets, particularly those for streaming music and video files. And for these JavaScript-coded webpages and sites to load completely, JavaScript must likewise be turned on or enabled in the browser settings.

This content will guide you through enabling and disabling JavaScript in the Galaxy S5 Internet and Chrome browsers.



A. Internet mobile browser

Enabling JavaScript on GS5 Internet browser:

1. Touch on Apps menu from the Home screen.
2. Touch on Internet to continue.
3. Touch the Menu key.
4. Touch to select Settings.
5. Select Content settings under Advanced option.
6. Locate and select the Turn on JavaScript checkbox. Once checked, the Internet JavaScript is already turned on or enabled.

Disabling JavaScript on GS5 Internet browser:

1. Touch on Apps from the Home screen.
2. Touch to select Internet.
3. Touch the Menu key to proceed.
4. Touch to select Settings.
5. Locate and touch on Content Settings under Advanced option.
6. Clear or unchecked the Turn on JavaScript checkbox. This should turn off the JavaScript function on the GS5 Internet browser.

B. Chrome mobile browser

1. Touch on Apps menu from the Home screen.
2. Touch to select Chrome.
3. Touch on the Menu key to continue.
4. Touch to select Settings.
5. Locate and touch on Content Settings under Advanced option.
6. Touch to select Enable JavaScript check box. Doing so will enable JavaScript function on Chrome mobile browser.

Disable JavaScript on Chrome mobile browser

1. Touch on Apps menu from the Home screen.
2. Touch to select Chrome.
3. Touch on the Menu key.
4. Touch to select Settings to proceed.
5. Locate and touch on Content Settings under Advanced option.
6. Clear or uncheck the Enable JavaScript check box. This will turn off or disable JavaScript function on Chrome mobile browser.
