Samsung Galaxy S5: Vibrations, Ringtones and Notifications

The Sound settings in the Samsung Galaxy S5 will give you control over vibration, ringtones, notifications, and how loud they should sound off. In the case of vibration, you can actually create your own vibration pattern.

Now, let's go ahead and setup your new phone's sounds and notifications:

Step 1: From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon and touch Settings.

Step 2: Tap the Sound icon.

Step 3: First off, let's setup the Vibration on the Galaxy S5, so touch Vibrations.

Step 4: You may now choose from the pre-set vibration patterns and tap OK, or you can tap Create to create you own vibration pattern.

Step 5: Now, let's go to Ringtones. Tap the Ringtones option to start the setup.

Step 6: You may choose from the default ringtones that came with the phone by tapping one and touching the OK button, or you can tap Add to use an .mp3 file as a ringtone.

Step 7: It's time to setup your phone's Notifications, so tap on it to begin.

Step 8: Just like setting up the ringtone, you can choose from the pre-loaded notifications sounds by tapping one and touching the OK button. Sadly, there's no option to add a custom notification.
I hope this post has been helpful to you.
Now, here's a tip you could surely use in the future: you can activate the Vibration mode from any screen by pressing and holding the Volume down key until the Vibrate icon appears on the screen.
That's all for now guys. Please share this post to others if it has been helpful to you. Thanks for reading.

For example, you missed a notification, the phone would emit light with a pattern to tell you about it without actually unlocking the screen. Believe it or not, it makes life a little easier if you knew the meaning of the colors and their rhythms.
