Block / Unblock Calls from a Number on Samsung Galaxy S5

Like the previous flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also has the capability to block calls from a certain phone number. Here's how you do it:

Blocking a Number

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings and scroll to APPLICATIONS section.
  3. Tap Call, and the Call Rejection.
  4. Tap Auto reject list and the Create.
  5. Tap the Contacts icon.
  6. You can enter the phone number you want to block manually, or you can choose Match criteria option: Exactly the same as (set as default), Starts with, Ends with, and Includes.
  7. Tap Save.
  8. To search for the number to block tap the Contacts icon.
  9. Tap Logs or Contacts.
  10. Tap the number to reject or contact to add to your reject list.
  11. Tap Save.

Unblocking a Number

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Tap Settings and scroll to APPLICATIONS section.
  3. Tap Call, and the Call Rejection.
  4. Tap Auto reject list.
  5. To allow calls from a number but leave it on the list, clear the check box next to the number.
  6. To allow calls from a number and remove it from the reject list, tap the Trash can icon.
  7. Select the check box next to the number you wished to unblock.
  8. Tap Done.
