Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.4 KitKat update rolls out next week

If you are a Samsung Galaxy S3 owner, you must be wondering when the Android 4.4 KitKat update roll out will be. While we've heard a lot of speculations about the most anticipated update lately, the most recent tip came from Samsung Mobile Arabia Facebook page.

It didn't actually come as an official announcement but as an answer to the question posted by one FB user and I quote "...the KitKat update will be available by end of this month. Thanks for your patience."

There were a lot of people asking if the Galaxy S3 could operate on Android 4.4 KK without having any difficulties. They are skeptical about it considering the 2012 flagship phone has way lower specs than the S4. But based on improvements done by Google to its Android OS, I can say the S3 will do just fine.

Google boasts of KitKat as "more stable than Jelly Bean" and it is reportedly eating up RAM lesser than the previous version. And, considering both JB and KK share almost the same architecture (4.x.x), there shouldn't be much difference when it comes to dependencies and compatibility.

Well, as of now, the best thing we could do is wait to see if Samsung Mobile Arabia was true to their words.

Are you guys excited about this Galaxy S3 Android 4.4 KitKat update? Perhaps those who have been disappointed with 4.3 probably are.

Stay tuned as I will be watching this update closely.

Thanks for reading. Have a nice day!

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Notification Lights and their Meaning

Like Samsung flagship smartphones, the Galaxy Note 3 also has a LED indicator located in the top-left corner in the front panel of your phone. The indicator emits three primary colors: Blue , Red and Green . The main purpose of the LED indicator is to notify you of the current condition or status of your phone. For example, you missed a notification, the phone would emit light with a pattern to tell you about it without actually unlocking the screen. Believe it or not, it makes life a little easier if you knew the meaning of the colors and their rhythms.
